A highly educated city wanted to honor the Music and for this purpose, requested the presence of great musicians and to make it more interesting, the Music was personified with the characteristics of the notes. The first one, of course, was the High C, followed by the whole musical staff presenting a great choreography.
Many songs, musical instruments were present and received a great ovation. It was hard to say, who was best since there were different genres from classical to the most modern. Nevertheless, there was a very wise musician in the group of organizers, who said,
” Gentlemen, you all make an extraordinary work but there is one who stands out, I don’t mean to say that it is superior but I must say that if it did not exist , we couldn’t exist either.”
“Who could it be?” the rhythm, harmony and melody were asking.
While the notes said, “That is a joke!” The instruments almost made a revolution. And what can we say of the fuss that the trumpet made.?
The piano said, ” This contest is fixed.”
But the wise musician spoke again and said,
” Gentlemen, be patient, we all know that you are very temperamental and I knew that I would produce a commotion with my words but I have invited our main guest and winner. Yes, you heard right. ” This was like throwing fire to the fire, the music, musicians, instruments looked like burning coal.
And the wise musician said again, ” Wait a moment, when I open the curtain, I will present my cousin, the winner,” He shouldn’t have said so, since he started something like the meeting of different political groups, that seemed like a mixture of fanatics. Nevertheless, the old musician did not get upset, but instead, he was smiling with gentleness, while the public was shouting, ” Tell us who it is”
And the wise musician replied, ” Gentlemen, this person has everything that you lack.” He shouldn’t have said this, because the public got more upset. But he continued, ” Gentlemen, please, be quiet. ” And a voice was heard, asking to let the wise, old musician speak. And he did and said, ” Gentlemen, he is the one who makes you be what you are. He doesn’t have to say a word, because his work is the Silence and without the Silence, there is no music.” And without saying another word, he received the greatest ovation and was chosen with great unanimity, the winner.
